🌚 Skoda Octavia Central Locking Not Working
Have to get in, put key in ignition, switch on ignition, switch off ignition, take key out, get out and close door and then unlock again to get the other doors to unlock. 3rd problem: locking with the remote doesn't lock the car it just arms the alarm.
Again, the coat hanger trick only works on certain lock mechanisms, usually on older cars, so this most likely won't work on newer model cars. For newer cars, you can still use a coat hanger, but you'll have to stick it in between the door and the rest of the car (like in Method #2) to unlock it from the inside.
Battery (Exide 3 yr warranty)cost me 62 quid including VAT from Eurcarparts, not a bad price I thought. You did not get the Brisky discount then (for eurocarparts online, you can still pick up in store ) They are £54.94 before discount and £44.95 after , I got a bosch one, S4 £54.85 , similar from Halfords over a 100.
A couple of weeks ago my rear o/s door started to randomly not unlock when using the central locking remote. I was having to reach inside and open it. I was going to get it looked at when it went in for it's MOT last week but it randomly decided to start working again so I left it.
Posted 19 September, 2020. Try unlocking the car then just open the front passenger door, see if it re-locks after a short time as if you hadn't opened any doors. Repeat for each rear door in turn if the car passes that test. If it does re-lock, the door open switch on that door isn't working reliably.
Googling this fault code returns thousands of results and the first result is a technical service bulletin (from NHTSA/Audi about similar issues). If your cars under warranty I'd just book it in for a repair. Looks like most people have had the entire module replaced which makes sense since it's all fairly self contained.
Model: Scoda Octavia 1.8 20v L&K + Skoda Felicia 1.6 GLXi. Posted 1 December, 2009. I am getting an intermittent click which sounds like the central locking happening as i drive along no regularity to it . It doesn't lock the doors so possibly unlocking even though it already unlocked. Here is the history leading up to this starting.

The problem is that the central locking not working from the remote controls From driver door open only this door and need to put ignition on then press the buton inside to unlock the car. From drivers door close all the doors without issue Sometimes you can open and close with remotes but probably from 10 test 1 time will work.
But after some nights with frustration I cant manage to get it to work on my Skoda Octavia 1,9 GLX TDI year 2000. The aftermarket locking unit makes clicks when the keyfob is pressed but nothing happens with the locks. Have sorted mirrors and windows but central locking still not working. And central locking only flashes indicator lights
Unfortunately, the central locking is playing up. Everything works perfectly except the driver's door 'unlock' when using the remote. The door can be unlocked using the key and can be unlocked (assuming the deadlock is not on) from the inside. I have checked fuses, checked for broken wires (nothing obvious) as well as removing the door panel.
